The Alps are mountain biomes found in cold climates. They have a sub-biome called Alpine Foothills.
Description[]
The alps consists of a large mountain range made primarly of stone and dirt and potentially reaching above y=200. What makes it unique to the vanilla Mountain biome would be the 5 or so layers of snow blocks that cover the stone. An additional layer of snow may be on top of the snow blocks.
Sub-Biomes[]
Alpine Foothills[]
Alpine Foothills surround the bottom of the Alps but still exhibit major drops in altitude. Spruce, Fir, and Pine trees grow close together, resembelling a forest, in flat areas, as well as along the mountainous edges. Here the topblock is a mixture of Podzol, Coarse Dirt, and Grass Blocks topped with Snow, Grass, Ferns, Tall Ferns and Winter Succulents. Additionally Alpine Bellflowers, Winter Scilla, Winter Rose, Dandelions, Poppies and Mushrooms can spawn here.

Trivia[]
- The alps will be removed in BYG 1.18, since there are already alps-style vanilla biomes like the snowy slopes.
